Late Registration Policy: If availability allows, and we accept registration after the deadline, a $5 late fee will apply to programs and a $20 late fee will apply to all leagues.

Join Sedalia Parks and Recreation’s Fortnite team and compete against six other cities across the nation in this unique Fortnite league where we’ll find the best recreation team in the country!

Advance your skills and make friends with members of your team and opponents all across the nation. Games and practices will be run at Convention Hall via discord with a team pizza party scheduled for the end of the season.  $20 includes a Jersey with your custom gamer tag!

CHOO! CHOO! Join our Conductors Club!

Did you ride the Liberty Land Train as a youngster? Did you find yourself dreaming of driving the train and getting to blow the train whistle? Sedalia Parks and Recreation is looking for volunteer train crew members! If you are interested, attend our inaugural Conductor Club meeting on Saturday, July 17th following the Moore’s Train House Grand Opening at approximately 11am at Convention Hall in Liberty Park. Meet our Trainmaster, Marty Harrison and learn the rails to being a conductor and joining our Conductor Club. Volunteers will have to be at least 21 years, pass a driver’s license check, and pass a background screen.

LIBERTY LAND TRAIN AT MOORE'S TRAIN HOUSE

The Liberty Land Train at Moore’s Train House is back up and running! The train will run Saturday and Sundays through Labor Day this year! See hours listed below! Wristbands may be purchased the day of for $2 for a day full of train rides! All passengers riding the train must purchase a wristband.

COMMUNITY GARDEN

Our new community garden is a free garden open to the public.  Take what you need; give back by volunteering.

Respect all living things and always walk on the paths.  Please leave the garden cleaner than you found it.  No pets, alcohol, glass, or smoking allowed.

Harvest times will vary; look for the “I’m ready!” signs.  These signs will indicate the crop is ready for picking.

Please ask permission before adding to the garden.  To volunteer, please call 660 826-4930.

F.L.A.T. CATS (SEDALIA CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU)

FISHING

 

In cooperation with the Missouri Department of Conservation, we are able to provide fishing opportunities at Liberty and Clover Dell Parks.  The MDC stocks the lake with fish in the spring and summer months.  Fishing rules and regulations are set by the Missouri Department  of Conservation.  If you need to get a fishing license, or have other questions, please call the MDC at (660) 530-5500 or visit their office located at 2000 S Limit Avenue, Sedalia.
