Registration
To register for our programs, stop by the Parks and Recreation Office or call (660) 826.4930.
Payment is required at the time of registration. We accept Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
You can also register online (for most activities) at https://secure.rec1.com/MO/sedalia-mo-/catalog
Late Registration Policy: If availability allows, and we accept registration after the deadline, a $5 late fee will apply to programs and a $20 late fee will apply to all leagues.
Permission to use Names/Images: Periodically, the SPR will take pictures or videotapes of participants while they are engaged in programs or while enjoying parks and other facilities. These photos may appear in Parks and Recreation brochures, website and publications. If you see a staff member or photographer taking pictures and you do not want your picture taken, please speak to the photographer and request your photo not be taken and deleted if necessary.

Kids 40 yard dash: 9am

Liberty Park
Prizes awarded to top finishers in each male/female age group for Open and Novice.
All 1 mile runners will receive a finisher’s medal.
Register by June 7 to guarantee a shirt.
Patriotic Parade
Kick off your day at the 4th of July Parade starting in Downtown Sedalia! Enter your floats for free by contact the Parks & Recreation Office at the Heckart Community Center. Prizes will be awarded to Most Patriotic, Most Original, and Most Creative Float! Parade theme is “United We Shine”

Bring your family out for a picnic in the park! Free hot dogs, chips, and drinks will be provided to celebrate the first 500 people! There will also be bounce houses and a live band!

Drop off letters to Santa in The North Pole Mailbox located in the lobby of Heckart Community Center. Mail letters to Santa before December 18th to receive a letter from Santa! Letters are free to mail. Please include a return address to make sure Santa mails a letter back!
Light Up Liberty
Displays will be on nightly 5:30pm to midnight, November 28 to January 2.
Looking for a fun holiday tradition? Stop by Liberty Park for our annual Light Up Liberty Christmas Light Display!
It is free to drive thru. However, we will have a donation box if you would like to voluntarily donate. All money will go directly back to adding more lights for years to come!
Be on the lookout for Santa and Mrs. Claus on special nights.
