Grand Announcement – Let’s Go Bowling!
On Monday, March 18, 2024, Sedalia Parks and Recreation Director Amy Epple and Sue Heckart announced a new bowling center named Memory Lanes to be built on the east side of Sedalia.
“It is my intention to build a state-of-the-art bowling facility at the new aquatic facility on East Broadway,” Heckart announced. “It will be called Memory Lanes, in memory of my parents, Del and Stella Heckart.”

Those in attendance seemed both delighted and surprised by Heckart’s pet project, to be opened by Fall 2026 next to the upcoming outdoor aquatics facility.

“My mother died 23 years ago today,” Heckart said sadly. “More details will be forthcoming as we get further along in this project.”
