To register for our programs, stop by the Parks and Recreation Office or call (660) 826.4930.
Payment is required at the time of registration.  We accept Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

You can also register online (for most activities) at https://secure.rec1.com/MO/sedalia-mo-/catalog

Late Registration Policy: If availability allows, and we accept registration after the deadline, a $5 late fee will apply to programs and a $20 late fee will apply to all leagues.

Permission to use Names/Images: Periodically, the SPR will take pictures or videotapes of participants while they are engaged in programs or while enjoying parks and other facilities. These photos may appear in Parks and Recreation brochures, website and publications. If you see a staff member or photographer taking pictures and you do not want your picture taken, please speak to the photographer and request your photo not be taken and deleted if necessary.

Model Train Club

Step back in time to the Old West of the 1860s and bring a miniature railroad to life! The Sedalia Parks & Recreation Model Train Club is a 6-week program where kids ages 8–14 become railroad planners, builders, and town designers. Participants will work together to create one train layout—laying and connecting tracks, drawing track plans, and constructing a town square with buildings, scenery, and lots of creativity. This club is perfect for hands-on learners and train enthusiasts alike. By the end of the program, participants will have collaborated to build a fully themed miniature railroad scene!

Join SPR’s Homeschool Gym Crew for active, family-led physical education sessions designed to keep kids moving and socializing. This program is for our homeschool youth. It’s a time for them to come to an open gym and release some energy while meeting like-minded friends. Bring your own equipment – no equipment provided. Held weekly at Convention Hall, families can choose between a flexible 10-visit punch pass, 20-visit punch pass, or enroll in the full September–December session. To participate, each child must have a punch card or register for the semester. Punch cards must be punched each time you attend and can be purchased at the Heckart Community Center.
