OUR MISSION

It is the mission of the Sedalia Parks and Recreation Department to offer an optimum number of recreation and leisure programs for citizens of Sedalia. Our goal is to provide facilities for the enjoyment of the recreation and leisure programs which are made available to the public.

The Sedalia Parks & Recreation Department oversees over 300 acres of park land and maintains 7 parks. Liberty, Centennial, Clover Dell, Hubbard, Housel, Katy, and Vermont Park. A wide array of sports, recreation activities, lessons and special events are available for citizens of all.

08/24/2016 : Now Hiring

Our Maintenance Department is looking for part- time seasonal workers to help continue to make our parks beautiful and safe.  If interested applications can be found on the “about page” or stop by the Parks & Recreation office for an application today.


08/18/2016 : New Classes coming this Fall

SPR is starting up new classes for this fall- Dance for all ages and levels, Youth Volleyball League for 4th,5th, & 6th graders, Zumba returns from the summer off.  Check out website for all the details!
