To register for our programs, stop by the Parks and Recreation Office or call (660) 826.4930.
Payment is required at the time of registration.  We accept Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

You can also register online (for most activities) at https://secure.rec1.com/MO/sedalia-mo-/catalog

Late Registration Policy: If availability allows, and we accept registration after the deadline, a $5 late fee will apply to programs and a $20 late fee will apply to all leagues.

Permission to use Names/Images: Periodically, the SPR will take pictures or videotapes of participants while they are engaged in programs or while enjoying parks and other facilities. These photos may appear in Parks and Recreation brochures, website and publications. If you see a staff member or photographer taking pictures and you do not want your picture taken, please speak to the photographer and request your photo not be taken and deleted if necessary.

Scarecrow Contest

Scarecrows must be registered AND diaplyed by October 14th!

Join your neighbors and fellow businesses for this fun community challenge and build your own scarecrow. It can be scary or funny, silly or ridiculous. It is free to enter! The contest is open to Sedalia residents and businesses, but you must register to compete!

Other rules include: 

• This is a family-friendly contest. Bloody or violent themes are not allowed, nor are advertising, political or religious statements. Sedalia Parks and Recreation has the right to disqualify any entry.

• Scarecrows must be handmade. Display needs to be able to handle the weather. Feel free to use props like straw bales, corn stalks, etc. Power for moving parts is allowed.

• Voting will be done Oct. 17-20th with a panel of judges.

• All scarecrows will be featured on the Sedalia Parks and Rec Facebook page.

• Winners will be notified by Oct. 21. Winners will be announced in each category: scariest, most original, kid’s choice, and most creative. All winners will receive a yard sign to display and a gift card to a local business of their choice.

It is FREE to drive thru. However, we will have a bucket for donations if you would like to donate. All money will go directly back to adding more lights for years to come!

Santa and his elves will be visiting Liberty Park early and hiding candy canes all around the park. Bring your flashlight & bag and help us find them!  Santa will make a visit to enjoy cookies and hot cocoa. In case of inclement weather, the hunt will be indoors.
