DESCRIPTION:Ages 7-11July 26th 9:00am at Liberty Pool$10 per boat- max 2 people per boatCall 660-826-4930 to register your boat!\nRules:• Boats are to be built before and brought to the pool the day of the competition.• Boats are made entirely of cardboard and duct tape only- excluding paddles and decoration. No wood\, plastic\, rubber\, inflatable devices\, Styrofoam\, fiberglass\, or plastic.• If there is any doubt about the construction\, the judges reserve the right to use a pick to test and verify that only cardboard has been used.• Decorations are allowed and encouraged provided they are not used as structural or flotation elements.• Boats are powered by two paddlers from inside the boat- paddles are fine.• During competition\, crew must be IN the boat\, not towing it\, or holding it between their legs\, swimming\, or allowing a life jacket to provide the flotation of the vessel.• Swimming crew members is not considered racing.• No paint or varnish is allowed on the day of the event\, all cardboard must be cured prior to boat launch.• No surfboard style boat is allowed. Consider staying dry part of the challenge.• The crew compartment CANNOT be enclosed so as to interfere with escape.• Throwing water on another boat is reason for disqualification\, unless said water comes from the incidental splash of a paddle or other propulsive devise.• Sunken or discarded boats must be disposed of in designated trash receptacle.• The judges’ decision is final.\n• If you have questions contact cscott@sedaliaparks.com
